This is a compact, versatile short barfeeder designed to run bar sizes from .315" to 3.15". The I-Flex 6 is the only barfeeder in this diameter range that is able to retract remnant, the company said. It can operate as a 6' bar feeder with remnant retract or as a spindle length bar loader. The I-Flex 6 has the ability to run a range of bar diameters with change of split bushing and collet only, allowing for quicker changeovers. Additionally, it is able to run small to high volume production and requires 50% less floor space than a 12' barfeeder with similar capability, the company said. "We designed this product to fill a distinct gap in the 6' barfeeder marketplace," said Cory Miller, Vice President of Operations at Bucci Industries, USA. "The I-Flex 6 is ideal for job shops that deal with short runs and require multiple changeovers." I-Flex 6 accommodates bar lengths of 39"-7'6". It is capable of feeding bars at high speed without having to cut bar stock to the length of the lathe spindle. This can reduce the amount of remnant waste and prolongs lathe spindle bearing life. The barfeeder can load spindle length bars into close fitting spindle liners for maximum RPM or to use available material. The fully enclosed lubricated guides are specifically designed to withstand the harsh working conditions of bar machining. The new quick-change guide channel system is designed for ultra-rapid guide change over. Magazine set-up with a single adjusting knob is only required for bar stock with a diameter of less than 2".
